Dr. Vicente Telles is proud to lead Loyacona Orthodontics and continue its legacy of excellence in orthodontic care. Originally from the beautiful city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Dr. Telles began his dental journey at the esteemed Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, where he earned his Dental Degree and Orthodontic Certificate. He served as an Orthodontist in the Brazilian Navy for seven years before moving to the United States in 2017.

Dr. Telles obtained his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Pittsburgh and completed his Orthodontic Certificate in Maryland. Now, as the primary doctor at Loyacona Orthodontics, he is excited to bring his expertise, passion, and personalized care to every patient.

Dr. Telles is fluent in English and Portuguese and has a conversational grasp of Spanish, allowing him to connect with diverse patients. Outside of work, he enjoys playing video games, staying active with volleyball, and relaxing at home with his spouse, Drew Myers, a Pittsburgh native.

After more than 30 years of creating beautiful, healthy smiles, Dr. Loyacona is transitioning into retirement, leaving behind a lasting impact on the community. His dedication to orthodontics began with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Saint Vincent College, followed by a Doctorate of Dental Medicine and specialized orthodontic training at the University of Pittsburgh, where he also served as a teaching fellow.

Dr. Loyacona’s passion for patient care and excellence in orthodontics has shaped Loyacona Orthodontics into the trusted practice it is today. Though he is stepping back, his commitment to the values and quality of care will continue through Dr. Telles and the entire team.

Outside of the office, Dr. Loyacona cherishes time with his family. He and his wife, Patti, have three children: Anthony, Nicholas, and Maria. A fitness enthusiast, he enjoys weight training, traveling, and playing golf.
